very Sunday morning everyone comes together to worship and get into God’s word.
Our teaching is Bible-centered and provides insight and direction for living a life modelled after Jesus Christ.
Our morning worship provides a gentle atmosphere in which to worship freely and also to be fed and nurtured with the word of God, which is ever relevant.
Immediately after the service, you’re invited to join with people for refreshments. This is the best way to get to know people and to find out more.
unday Worship Times:
- Our 10.30 am service - this is a mix of traditional hymns and more contemporary songs. We have a children's talk early on in the service and then a Sunday school gets going in the room directly behind the main hall. The children re-join during the singing of the final hymn or song.
- Our 6:00 pm service - this service is less formal than the morning and not as long being around 1 hour in duration. We study the scriptures and often work through topics. There is sometimes worship and prayer as well. All in all a more varied format from month to month. This service takes place at the Pastor's house, which is no. 2 Loundyes Close, Thatcham. RG18 3EB.
- Each Wednesday, from 8-9.30 pm we meet for a time of discussional bible study. Very often we study through a bible book or perhaps a bible theme. The studies are always very discussional and enable people of all levels of knowledge to be able to comfortably participate (or just sit back and observe, if they prefer to). We usually take a few minutes at the start to sing a few hymns or songs. It is also at these sorts of meetings that we take opportunity to pray for each other and for other issues wider afield. This midweek meeting does *not* take place in the Parish Hall, but at Andy and Nic's house, which is no. 21, Peachey Drive, Thatcham. RG19 4GT
- Each Friday from 10-11.30, the ladies of the church get together to have coffee and take some relaxed time in the Scriptures. This will take place at the Pastor's house at no. 2 Loundyes Close, Thatcham. RG18 3EB.
